Barista
Baristas don’t need prior experience, but those with customer service, food industry, or barista experience will be prioritized.
The Barista is the heart of the Coffee Bar preparing each guest cup of warmth.
Job Responsibilities Smiles Promotes coffee consumption by educating guests; selling coffee preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies. Welcomes guests by determining their coffee interests and needs. Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions. Sells coffees by making it a fun place and explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation when the guest wants to learn. Prepares and sells coffee drinks by listening to guests’ preferences and following prescribed and learned recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino. Generates revenues by attracting new guests; defining new and expanded services and products. Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations. Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks. Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Shares knowledge with all the team members, taking pride in their knowledge and growth. Helps do what it takes to make the customers happy, team members successful, and the business running successfully.
Work Hours and Benefits The Coffee Bar is at the demand of our guests and hours may fluctuate based on our success in delivering their happiness. This is an hourly position and it is the intent to provide as many hours as we can and accommodate special needs of each team member. Starting wages based on experience. It takes a village to be successful and therefore tips will be shared equitably amongst all team members based on hours worked. Workers who perform their activities well will also be rewarded with periodic bonuses and pay increases based on the business’s success.

Cashier
Cashiers do not need prior experience, they will be in charge of taking orders and housekeeping needs that will be delegated by the manager.
Job Responsibilities Smiles Accurately process cash register transactions, give correct change, and process debit and credit cards Create a positive and friendly experience for guests and fellow team members Display a natural desire to greet, engage with, and sincerely thank the guest Prepare products and order stock Ensure the proper signage when needed Maintain clean, neat and orderly cash register and seating areas Welcomes guests by determining their coffee interests and needs. Generates revenues by attracting new guests; defining new and expanded services and products.
